‘Collection’ new album by David Wahler at Peaceful Radio Internet Station

1 July 2022 Artists

Unlike David Wahler’s previous releases, Collection (his tenth studio album) does
not have a single theme. It is, instead, an assortment of musical impressions and
moods, unified by the acclaimed artist’s unique way of melding his flowing,
warm keyboard and piano melodies with subtle rhythms, yielding music which
can both relax and gently stimulate. The result is another recording that features
not just stellar musicianship but also superb production quality.
It’s not surprising that the past few years and the pandemic had a rippling effect
on Wahler, as it did on many other musicians. The forced isolation brought on by
Covid-19 led to his introspection and an exploration of the varied emotional
themes present on Collection. Of the album, Wahler states “The past few years
have proven very challenging for some of us. In this period of constant change, I
found myself not focusing on a theme for an album. Instead, I have put together a
collection of songs, which, for me, symbolize the varied feelings and emotions I
have encountered along the way. Collection…is a gift to all of us who are traveling
forward, one day at a time.”

Critics react to Collection:
“Soothing, hypnotic, healing, spiritual, and most of all – beautiful – are all words
that come to mind while listening to David Wahler’s Collection. It’s a breath of
musical fresh air!” Kathy Parsons/MainyPiano.com

“I remember being impressed by David
Wahler’s recording debut, Antiquus, in 2009.
With every successive release, my
admiration and respect for Wahler grows.
He is one of the brightest stars in
instrumental keyboard music and Collection
is one more jewel in his crown. Pure
musical bliss and an album to indulge in
many times.”
