ABOUT THE THE ALBUM, “A DAY ON VENUS:”

“A Day On Venus” is a collection of 18 musical pieces drawn from celestial and mystical inspiration. The planet, Venus, with its unique aspects, symbolizes many things. Venus is known as the Goddess of Love and Beauty. The Rose of Venus is the sacred geometry pattern the orbit of Venus forms as she dances with Earth. The planet’s own orbit creates this special and sacred mandala.

Alongside the virtuosic acoustic guitar playing she is known for Michelle presents soulful flute playing, swirling synthesizers, ethereal keyboards, singing bowls, bass, and more. At nearly an hour in duration, you will feel a shift between time zones as you listen, leaving behind what the Ancient Greeks called Chronos, or linear time, and enter Kairos, that state of meditative flow where linear time melts away into a timeless experience.

The Rose of Venus, depicted in the album art of “A Day On Venus,” is a replica of the sacred geometric pattern created by the 8-year cycle of Venus orbiting the Earth, forming a perfect five petal rose. This design, much like the music on this album, is imbued with the healing energies of Venus, aligning with universal love, compassion, and harmony.

ABOUT MICHELLE QURESHI

Trusting in the power and inherent spirituality of music with its great potential to unite, connect, and touch us all, Michelle shares her music at concerts, festivals, yoga studios, wellness centers, and for special events. In 2019 she debuted her Harmonic Sound Immersion™ which is a transformative sound meditation created by the healing vibrations of ancient and modern instruments.

As a self-taught guitarist in her teens, performing and teaching locally, she aspired toward a more expansive understanding of music. Initially starting her undergraduate work in psychology, she recognized her need for creative expression, so she changed her course of study and started out at twenty years old, as a beginning classical guitar student in pursuit of the discipline and knowledge that a formal music education promised. She was elected to the music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda and graduated with Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Cleveland Institute of Music | Case Western Reserve University with honors.

Professional awards and nominations for her music include recognition from Zone Music Reporter, One World Music Radio, New Age Music Guide, New Age Notes Radio, Echoes Radio, with releases on various top music charts.
