This is a solo acoustic guitar piece that weaves beautiful, sweeping arpeggios
throughout the opening section, followed by a cascading waterfall of notes in the B
section and lastly introduces a gentle, introspective C section, before returning to the
openness of the arpeggios. The title and album art reflect the diversity of the American
landscape. It draws on my personal experiences in traveling around this country, from
the deserts of Arizona to the pine forests of Maine, but starting with my Indiana
upbringing along the shores of Lake Michigan.
