“Moments of Reflection” is a journey through one day, morning
to evening, taking in the view from a solitary park bench, near a
tree lined sidewalk, overlooking a still pond on a calm and
windlesssummer day. Each track gives a sense of calm and
peacefulness, but in a slightly different way: from the mystery of
“The Park Bench (dusk)” where asthe light fades all of what our
onlookerseesis cast in dim shadow and difficult to understand;
to the still,serene, and almost floating nature of “The Stillness of
Water,” where the music isliterally “reflected” and inverted like
a mirror, just like how perfectly calm water reflectsit’s
surroundings; to “Evening Lights” that musically personifiesthe
warmth cast by the glow ofsoft orange lights on the sidewalk
and the sense of grounded-ness as our onlooker beginsto walk
home. Charles hopesthat you will journey with him through this
day on the park bench, finding your inner peace, your own
moments of reflection.

Phoenix Chorale, has toured the United States as collaborative pianist for celebrated tubist Patrick
Sheridan, and has extensively arranged music for notables like Paul Harvey Jr. (creator of The Rest
of the Story radio show) and Anna Graceman (finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent). Szczepanek
recently stepped down from a full-time music director position at Church of the Ascension in
Fountain Hills, AZ after 10 years in the role. He was the Founder and Artistic Director of Arts at
Ascension for 7 seasons, a concert series that raised over $120,000 to benefit fine arts education for
underprivileged students in inner-city schools. Charles lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and can
