‘The First Set’ new EP by Jeff Garver at Peaceful Internet Radio Station

Jeff Garver lives in the San Francisco Bay area in California. Jeff started playing guitar in his early
teens, at first playing electric guitar in various bands in the Mid-AtlanCc States in the US. AEer
dropping out and returning to college, Jeff started focusing on playing solo and duets on a
classical style guitar, and began wriCng his own songs.
Taking a small break from his busy family and work life in California, Jeff went back East to
record The First Set at Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont, with Will Ackerman producing along
with the sound engineer Corin Nelsen.
As Jeff wrote in his album liner of The First Set:
Out of the many songs I have written, these songs make up ‘The First
Set’ that I finally felt comfortable releasing. All of these songs were
performed by me using one classical/nylon string guitar that was mic’d,
two tracks for each song. I first recorded one track of rhythm guitar and
then recorded one lead track over the rhythm track. I purposely limited
the instrumentation to two tracks of guitar, to better reflect how I wrote
and played the songs originally, and to let the guitar stand out more.
